You Don’t Need to Be Angry To Rage

Read that headline again. It's true. You don't have to be angry to rage.

Raging or Breaking can be fun! Who hasn’t broken a pinata?

Raging is a recreational activity like axe throwing, archery, or golf. People break piñatas at celebrations like birthday parties. Not because they are angry, but because it is fun. One major difference is, skill is absolutely not required. If at the end of your session, everything you intended to break is beaten or broken, you win at raging. Period.

You have to break the walnut to keep the nuts.

If you surprise yourself in the process,  even better! Maybe from the pieces, you will create something new.

Creative destruction can be nothing more than a good time. Sometimes, you can make something beautiful from the pieces.

Over the past month, I've given my elevator pitch MANY times. But what's made the most effective communication of our message is "we're a place where you come to break stuff and you don't have to clean it up."  We hope people will find we're so much more than that. We're a tinker space. We're engaging in STEM activities in very Maria Montessori ways. We're a non-judgmental, open and affirming art space.

But what I really want us to be is a place that fosters community among passionate individuals.  A place to relax and feel happy. A place to call home.
