Our First Mobile Retail Rage

Retail Rage with Rage Room - York

Taryn and Taryn, Our First Mobile Ragers

CRACK – The tile smashed under the clear blue sky. Then the other destructibles, one by one, fell to the hammers' fall. Ok, enough bad prose.

Breaking Cast Cement Planters

We had our first full Mobile Retail Rage yesterday. Two mannequins took a beating for those annoying people that we may want to smack, but we also like having a job, not being in jail, and basically being more decent than the human that makes us want to reconsider. Since we knew our Retail Ragers worked in Customer Service for a hotel, signs around the mannequins' necks said, "Isn’t my room ready yet?" and the dreaded, "I want to speak to your manager!"

Let the ripping begin…

A rack of clothing items stood just to the side of the rage space. The Ragers were given pairs of scissors. But ripping up garments like they were some kind of Hulk -- nothing at all shabby about our Ragers' fortitudes!

Or Cutting…

In the end, clothing was ripped, destructibles were smashed. A great time was had by all.

Except, perhaps, Bob.

The idea of a retail rage came out of a long line of frustration with the current service industry. The customer is always right, even when they aren’t. The clothes must be folded or hung exactly this way. At least until the next customer paws through the pile of identical items. Then back to the rack or table in a never-ending cycle. And the dreaded “I want to talk to your manager”. So here they were, having fun destroying that scene. Cathartic? Possibly. Fun? Definitely.
